5Moreover, aI have heard the groaning of the people of Israel whom the Egyptians hold as slaves, and I have remembered my covenant.

Judges 2:18

18Whenever the Lord raised up judges for them, bthe Lord was with the judge, and he saved them from the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge. cFor the Lord was moved to pity by dtheir groaning because of those who afflicted and oppressed them.

Nehemiah 9:27-28
