9Moses spoke thus to the people of Israel, but they adid not listen to Moses, because of their broken spirit and harsh slavery.

Job 9:16

16If I summoned him and he answered me,
I would not believe that he was listening to my voice.

The Great Commission

14Afterward ehe appeared fto the eleven themselves as they were reclining at table, and he rebuked them for their gunbelief and hhardness of heart, because ithey had not believed those who saw him after he had risen.

Luke 24:11

11but these words seemed to them an idle tale, and jthey did not believe them.

23and kwhen they did not find his body, they came back saying that lthey had even seen a vision of angels, who said that he was alive. 24 mSome of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said, but him they did not see.” 25And he said to them, O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26 nWas it not necessary that othe Christ should suffer these things and enter into phis glory?” 27And qbeginning with rMoses and sall the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

28So they drew near to the village to which they were going. tHe acted as if he were going farther, 29but they urged him strongly, saying, “Stay with us, for it is toward evening and uthe day is now far spent.” So he went in to stay with them. 30When he was at table with them, he took the bread and vblessed and broke it and gave it to them. 31 wAnd their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And xhe vanished from their sight. 32They said to each other, yDid not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he zopened to us the Scriptures?” 33And they rose that same hour and returned to Jerusalem. And they aafound the eleven and abthose who were with them gathered together, 34saying, “The Lord has risen indeed, and achas appeared to Simon!” 35Then they told what had happened on the road, and adhow he was known to them in aethe breaking of the bread.
