11Then Pharaoh summoned the wise men and the sorcerers, and they, the amagicians of Egypt, also bdid the same by their secret arts.Exodus 7:22

16As we were going to mthe place of prayer, we were met by a slave girl who had na spirit of odivination and pbrought her owners much gain by fortune-telling. 17She followed Paul and us, qcrying out, “These men are rservants ▼▼Greek bondservants
of tthe Most High God, who proclaim to you uthe way of salvation.” 18And this she kept doing for many days. Paul, having become greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, v“I command you win the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And xit came out that very hour. Acts 19:18-20
18Also many of those who were now believers came, yconfessing and divulging their practices. 19And a number of those who had practiced magic arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted the value of them and found it came to fifty thousand pieces of silver. 20So the word of the Lord zcontinued to increase and prevail mightily.
