11Then Pharaoh summoned the wise men and the sorcerers, and they, the amagicians of Egypt, also bdid the same by their secret arts.

Exodus 7:22

22But cthe magicians of Egypt did the same by their secret arts. So dPharaoh’s heart remained hardened, and he would not listen to them, as ethe Lord had said.

Deuteronomy 18:10-12

10There shall not be found among you anyone fwho burns his son or his daughter as an offering,
Hebrew makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire
anyone who hpractices divination or itells fortunes or interprets omens, or ja sorcerer
11or a charmer or ka medium or a necromancer or lone who inquires of the dead, 12 mfor whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord. And nbecause of these abominations the Lord your God is driving them out before you.

1 Samuel 28:7-9

7Then Saul said to his servants, o“Seek out for me a woman who is a medium, that I may go to her and inquire of her.” And his servants said to him, “Behold, there is a medium at pEn-dor.”

8So Saul qdisguised himself and put on other garments and went, he and two men with him. And they came to the woman by night. And he said, rDivine for me by a spirit and bring up for me whomever I shall name to you.” 9The woman said to him, “Surely you know what Saul has done, show he has cut off the mediums and the necromancers from the land. Why then are you laying a trap for my life to bring about my death?”

1 Chronicles 10:13

13So Saul died tfor his breach of faith. He broke faith with the Lord in that he did not keep the command of the Lord, and also uconsulted a medium, seeking guidance.

Acts 8:9-11

Simon the Magician Believes

9But there was a man named Simon, vwho had previously practiced magic in the city and amazed the people of Samaria, wsaying that he himself was somebody great. 10They all paid attention to him, from the least to the greatest, saying, x“This man is the power of God that is called yGreat.” 11And they paid attention to him because for a long time he had zamazed them with his magic.

Acts 13:6

6When they had gone through the whole island as far as Paphos, they came upon a certain aamagician, aba Jewish false prophet named Bar-Jesus.

Acts 13:8

8But Elymas the acmagician (for that is the meaning of his name) adopposed them, seeking to turn aethe proconsul away from the faith.
