Exodus 7:19-21

19 And the Lord said to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘Take your staff and ^astretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt, over their rivers, their canals, and their ponds, and all their pools of water, so that they may become blood, and there shall be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, even in vessels of wood and in vessels of stone.’”

20 Moses and Aaron did as the Lord commanded. In the sight of Pharaoh and in the sight of his servants he ^blifted up the staff and struck the water in the Nile, and all the ^cwater in the Nile turned into blood. 21 And the fish in the Nile died, and the Nile stank, so that the Egyptians ^dcould not drink water from the Nile. There was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.

Psalms 74:13-15

13 You ^edivided the sea by your might;

Isaiah 19:5-10

5 And the waters of the sea will be dried up,
and the river will be dry and parched,
6 and its canals will become foul,
and the branches of Egypt’s Nile will diminish and dry up,
reeds and rushes will rot away.
7 There will be bare places by the Nile,
on the brink of the Nile,
and all that is sown by the Nile will be parched,
will be driven away, and will be no more.
8 The ^lfishermen will mourn and lament,
all who cast a hook in the Nile;
and they will languish
who spread nets on the water.
