Ezekiel 19:12-14

12But the vine was plucked up in fury,
cast down to the ground;
athe east wind dried up its fruit;
they were stripped off and withered.
As for its strong stem,
fire consumed it.
13 bNow it is planted in the wilderness,
in a dry and thirsty land.
14 cAnd fire has gone out from the stem of its shoots,
has consumed its fruit,
dso that there remains in it no strong stem,
no scepter for ruling.
This is ea lamentation and has become a lamentation.

Hosea 12:1

1Ephraim feeds on the wind
and pursues fthe east wind all day long;
they multiply gfalsehood and violence;
hthey make a covenant with Assyria,
and ioil is carried to Egypt.

Hosea 13:15

15 Though jhe may flourish among his brothers,
kthe east wind, the wind of the Lord, shall come,
rising from the wilderness,
land his fountain shall dry up;
his spring shall be parched;
it shall strip mhis treasury
of every precious thing.

Matthew 21:19

19 nAnd seeing a fig tree by the wayside, he went to it and found nothing on it but only leaves. And he said to it, “May no fruit ever come from you again!” And the fig tree withered at once.

Mark 11:20

The Lesson from the Withered Fig Tree

20 oAs they passed by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered away to its roots.
