Ezekiel 2:3-8

3And he said to me, “Son of man, I send you to the people of Israel, to anations of rebels, who have rebelled against me. bThey and their fathers have transgressed against me to this very day. 4The descendants also are cimpudent and stubborn: I send you to them, and you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God.’ 5And dwhether they hear or refuse to hear (for they are ea rebellious house) fthey will know that a prophet has been among them. 6And you, son of man, gbe not afraid of them, nor be afraid of their words, hthough briers and thorns are with you and you sit on iscorpions.
Or  on scorpion plants
Be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house.
7And you shall speak my words to them, kwhether they hear or refuse to hear, for they are a rebellious house.

8“But you, son of man, hear what I say to you. lBe not rebellious like that rebellious house; open your mouth and meat what I give you.”

Ezekiel 20:8

8 nBut they rebelled against me and were not willing to listen to me. oNone of them cast away the detestable things their eyes feasted on, nor did they forsake the idols of Egypt.

“Then I said I would pour out my wrath upon them pand spend my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.

Ezekiel 20:18

18“And I said to qtheir children in the wilderness, 'Do not walk rin the statutes of your fathers, nor keep their rules, snor defile yourselves with their idols.

Matthew 23:31-33

31Thus you witness against yourselves that you are tsons of those who murdered the prophets. 32 uFill up, then, the measure of your fathers. 33You serpents, vyou brood of vipers, how are you to escape being sentenced to whell?

Acts 7:51
