Malachi 3:2-3

For lhe is like a refiner’s fire and like fullerssoap. 3He will sit mas a refiner and purifier of silver, and he will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, and they will bring nofferings in righteousness to the Lord.

Or  when we are judged we are being disciplined by the Lord
so that we may not be rcondemned along with the world.

Hebrews 12:6

6For sthe Lord disciplines the one he loves,
and chastises every son whom he receives.”

9Besides this, we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to tthe Father of spirits uand live? 10For they disciplined us for a short time as it seemed best to them, but he disciplines us for our good, vthat we may share his holiness. 11 wFor the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields xthe peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
