4 aWill you judge them, son of man, will you judge them? bLet them know the abominations of their fathers,

Ezekiel 20:13

13 cBut the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness. dThey did not walk in my statutes but rejected my rules, by which, if a person does them, he shall live; eand my Sabbaths they greatly profaned.

f“Then I said I would pour out my wrath upon them in the wilderness, to make a full end of them.

Ezekiel 20:21

21 gBut the children hrebelled against me. iThey did not walk in my statutes and were not careful to obey my rules, by which, if a person does them, he shall live; they profaned my Sabbaths.

j“Then I said I would pour out my wrath upon them and spend my anger against them in the wilderness.

Ezekiel 20:30

30Therefore say to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord God: kWill you defile yourselves after the manner of your fathers and go lwhoring after their detestable things?

handled.

Ezekiel 23:8-21

8She did not give up her whoring qthat she had begun in Egypt; for in her youth men had lain with her and handled her virgin bosom and poured out their whoring lust upon her. 9Therefore rI delivered her into the hands of her lovers, into the hands of the Assyrians, after whom she lusted. 10 sThese uncovered her nakedness; tthey seized her sons and her daughters; and as for her, they killed her with the sword; and she became ua byword among women, vwhen judgment had been executed on her.

11 w“Her sister Oholibah saw this, and she became xmore corrupt than her sister
Hebrew  than she
in her lust and in her whoring, which was worse than that of her sister.
12She lusted after the Assyrians, governors and commanders, warriors clothed in full armor, horsemen riding on horses, zall of them desirable young men. 13And I saw that she was defiled; they both took the same way. 14But she carried her whoring further. She saw men aaportrayed on the wall, the abimages of acthe Chaldeans portrayed in vermilion, 15wearing belts on their waists, with flowing turbans on their heads, all of them having the appearance of officers, a likeness of Babylonians whose native land was Chaldea. 16When she saw them, she lusted after them and adsent messengers to them aein Chaldea. 17And the Babylonians came to her afinto the bed of love, and they defiled her with their whoring lust. And after she was defiled by them, agshe turned from them in disgust. 18When she carried on her whoring so openly and flaunted her nakedness, I turned in disgust from her, as I had turned in disgust from her sister. 19Yet she increased her whoring, ahremembering the days of her youth, when she played the whore in the land of Egypt 20and lusted after her lovers there, whose members were like those of donkeys, and whose issue was like that of horses. 21Thus you longed for the lewdness of your youth, when the Egyptians handled your bosom and pressed

your young breasts.”

Daniel 9:5-11

5 ajwe have sinned and done wrong and acted wickedly akand rebelled, turning aside from your commandments and rules. 6 alWe have not listened to amyour servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to anour kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land. 7To you, aoO Lord, belongs righteousness, but to us open shame, as at this day, to the men of Judah, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to all Israel, apthose who are near and aqthose who are far away, in arall the lands to which you have driven them, because of asthe treachery that they have committed against you. 8To us, O Lord, belongs open shame, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because atwe have sinned against you. 9 auTo the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, for we have rebelled against him 10 avand have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God by walking in his laws, which he set before us by awhis servants the prophets. 11 axAll Israel has transgressed your law and turned aside, ayrefusing to obey your voice. azAnd the curse and oath bathat are written in the Law of bbMoses the servant of God have been poured out upon us, because bcwe have sinned against him.
