Ezekiel 22:6-13

6Behold, athe princes of Israel in you, every one according to his power, have been bent on shedding blood. 7Father and mother bare treated with contempt in you; the sojourner csuffers extortion in your midst; the fatherless and the widow dare wronged in you. 8 eYou have despised my holy things and fprofaned my Sabbaths. 9 gThere are men in you who slander to shed blood, and people in you hwho eat on the mountains; ithey commit lewdness in your midst. 10In you jmen uncover their fathersnakedness; in you they violate women who are unclean in their menstrual impurity. 11 kOne commits abomination with his neighbor’s wife; lanother lewdly defiles his daughter-in-law; manother in you violates his sister, his father’s daughter. 12In you nthey take bribes to shed blood; oyou take interest and profit
That is, profit that comes from charging interest to the poor (compare Leviticus 25:36)
and make gain of your neighbors by extortion; but qme you have forgotten, declares the Lord God.

13Behold, rI strike my hand at sthe dishonest gain that you have made, and at tthe blood that has been in your midst.

Ezekiel 22:25-29

25 uThe conspiracy of her prophets in her midst is vlike a roaring lion wtearing the prey; they have devoured human lives; they have taken treasure and precious things; they have made many widows in her midst. 26 xHer priests yhave done violence to my law and zhave profaned my holy things. aaThey have made no distinction between the holy and the common, neither have they taught the difference between the unclean and the clean, and abthey have disregarded my Sabbaths, acso that I am profaned among them. 27 adHer princes in her midst are like wolves aetearing the prey, afshedding blood, destroying lives to get dishonest gain. 28And agher prophets have smeared whitewash for them, ahseeing false visions and divining lies for them, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord God,’ when the Lord has not spoken. 29The people of the land aihave practiced extortion and committed robbery. They have oppressed the poor and needy, and ajhave extorted from the sojourner without justice.

Hosea 4:1-2

The Lord Accuses Israel

1 akHear the word of the Lord, O children of Israel,
for althe Lord has a controversy with the inhabitants of the land.
There is no faithfulness or steadfast love,
and amno knowledge of God in the land;
2 anthere is swearing, lying, murder, stealing, and committing adultery;
they break all bounds, and aobloodshed follows bloodshed.

Amos 5:11-12

11Therefore because you aptrample on
Or  you tax
the poor
and you exact taxes of grain from him,
aryou have built houses of hewn stone,
but you shall not dwell in them;
asyou have planted pleasant vineyards,
but you shall not drink their wine.
12For I know how many are your transgressions
and how great are your sins
you who afflict the righteous, who attake a bribe,
and auturn aside the needy avin the gate.

Amos 6:1-3

Woe to Those at Ease in Zion

1 awWoe to those who are at ease in Zion,
and to those who feel secure on axthe mountain of Samaria,
aythe notable men of azthe first of the nations,
to whom the house of Israel comes!
2Pass over to baCalneh, and see,
and from there go to bbHamath the great;
then go down to bcGath of the Philistines.
bdAre you better than these kingdoms?
Or is their territory greater than your territory,
3 beO you who put far away the day of disaster
bfand bring near the seat of violence?

Zephaniah 3:3

3 bgHer officials within her
are roaring lions;
her judges are bhevening wolves
that leave nothing till the morning.
