Ezekiel 3:14-18

14 aThe Spirit lifted me up and took me away, and I went in bitterness in the heat of my spirit, the bhand of the Lord being strong upon me. 15 cAnd I came to the exiles at Tel-abib, who were dwelling dby the Chebar canal, and I sat where they were dwelling.

And fI sat there goverwhelmed among them hseven days.

A Watchman for Israel

16 iAnd at the end of seven days, the word of the Lord came to me: 17 jSon of man, kI have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall lgive them warning from me. 18 mIf I say to the wicked, n‘You shall surely die,’ oand you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, in order to save his life, that wicked person pshall die for
Or in; also verses 19, 20
his iniquity, rbut his blood I will require at your hand.

Ezekiel 33:6-8

6 sBut if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, so that the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any one of them, tthat person is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.

7 u“So you, vson of man, I have made a watchman for the house of Israel. wWhenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall give them warning from me. 8 xIf I say to the wicked, O wicked one, you shall surely die, yand you do not speak to warn the wicked to turn from his way, zthat wicked person shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand.

1 Corinthians 9:16

16For if I preach the gospel, that gives me no ground for boasting. For aanecessity is laid upon me. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!
