Ezekiel 3:20

20 ^gAgain, if a righteous person turns from his righteousness and commits injustice, ^hand I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die. ⁱBecause you have not warned him, he shall die for his sin, ^jand his righteous deeds that he has done shall not be remembered, ^kbut his blood I will require at your hand.

Ezekiel 32:2-9

2 ^l“Son of man, ^mraise a lamentation over ⁿPharaoh king of Egypt and say to him:

“You consider yourself ^oa lion of the nations,
but you are like ^pa dragon ^qin the seas;
^ryou burst forth in your rivers,
trouble the waters with your feet,
and foul their rivers.
3 Thus says the Lord God:
^sI will throw my net over you

and ^uthey will haul you up in my dragnet.
4 And ^vI will cast you on the ground;
on the open field I will fling you,
and will cause all the birds of the heavens to settle on you,
and I will gorge the beasts of the whole earth with you.
5 I will strew your flesh ^wupon the mountains

6 I will drench the land even to the mountains

and the ravines will be full of you.

will I make dark over you,

declares the Lord God.
9 “I will trouble the hearts of many peoples, when I bring your destruction among the nations, into the countries that you have not known.

Matthew 18:6-7

6 but ^abwhoever causes one of these ^aclittle ones who believe in me to sin, ^{▼▼Greek causes . . . to stumble; also verses 8, 9} it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.

Temptations to Sin

7 “Woe to the world for ^aetemptations to sin! ^{▼▼Greek stumbling blocks} ^agFor it is necessary that temptations come, ^ahbut woe to the one by whom the temptation comes!

Acts 20:26-27
