Ezekiel 3:6-7

6not to many peoples of foreign speech and a hard language, whose words you cannot understand. aSurely, if I sent you to such, they would listen to you. 7 bBut the house of Israel will not be willing to listen to you, for they are not willing to listen to me: because all the house of Israel chave a hard forehead and a stubborn heart.

Matthew 12:41-42

41 dThe men of Nineveh will rise up at the judgment with this generation and econdemn it, for fthey repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, gsomething greater than Jonah is here. 42 hThe queen of the South will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, isomething greater than Solomon is here.

Acts 13:44-48

44The next Sabbath almost the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord. 45 jBut kwhen the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with ljealousy and began to contradict what was spoken by Paul, mreviling him. 46And Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, saying, “It was necessary that the word of God nbe spoken first to you. oSince you thrust it aside and judge yourselves punworthy of eternal life, behold, we qare turning to the Gentiles. 47 rFor so the Lord has commanded us, saying,

s“‘I have made you ta light for the Gentiles,
that you may ubring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”
48And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and vglorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed.

Acts 28:25-28

25And disagreeing among themselves, they departed after Paul had made one statement: wThe Holy Spirit was right in saying to your fathers through Isaiah the prophet:

26 x“‘Go to this people, and say,
y“You will indeed hear but never understand,
and you will indeed see but never perceive.”
27 zFor this people’s heart has grown dull,
and with their ears they can barely hear,
and their eyes they have closed;
lest they should see with their eyes
and hear with their ears
and understand with their heart
and aaturn, and I would heal them.’
28Therefore let it be known to you that abthis acsalvation of God adhas been sent to the Gentiles; aethey will listen.”
Some manuscripts add verse 29: And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, having much dispute among themselves
