Ezekiel 31:12-13

12 aForeigners, bthe most ruthless of nations, have cut it down and left it. cOn the mountains and in all the valleys its branches have fallen, and its boughs have been broken in all dthe ravines of the land, and eall the peoples of the earth have gone away from its shadow and left it. 13 fOn its fallen trunk dwell all the birds of the heavens, and on its branches are all the beasts of the field.

Daniel 4:14

14He gproclaimed aloud and said thus: hChop down the tree and ilop off its branches, jstrip off its leaves and scatter its fruit. kLet the beasts flee from under it and the birds from its branches.

John 15:6

6If anyone does not abide in me lhe is thrown away like a branch and withers; mand the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.
