Ezekiel 34:11-14

The Lord God Will Seek Them Out

11For thus says the Lord God: aBehold, I, I bmyself will search for my sheep and will seek them out. 12As a shepherd seeks out his flock when he is among his sheep that have been scattered, so will I seek out my sheep, and I will rescue them from all places where they have been scattered on ca day of clouds and dthick darkness. 13And I will bring them out from the peoples eand gather them from the countries, and will bring them into their own land. And I will feed them on fthe mountains of Israel, by the ravines, and in all the inhabited places of the country. 14 gI will feed them with good pasture, and on the mountain heights of Israel shall be their grazing land. hThere they shall lie down in good grazing land, and on rich pasture they shall feed on the mountains of Israel.

Zechariah 13:7-9

The Shepherd Struck

7 Awake, O sword, against imy shepherd,
against the man who stands next to me,”

declares the Lord of hosts.
jStrike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered;
I will turn my hand against the little ones.
8In the whole land, declares the Lord,
two thirds shall be cut off and perish,
kand one third shall be left alive.
9And lI will put this third into the fire,
and refine them as one refines silver,
and test them as gold is tested.
mThey will call upon my name,
and nI will answer them.
oI will say, ‘They are my people’;
and they will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’”

Romans 9:27

27And Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: pThough the number of the sons of Israel
Or children of Israel
be as the sand of the sea, ronly a remnant of them will be saved,

Romans 11:4-6

4But what is God’s reply to him? s“I have kept for myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” 5So too at the present time there is ta remnant, chosen by grace. 6 uBut if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace.
