My sheep were scattered; 6 they wandered over all the mountains and on every high hill. My sheep were scattered over all the face of the earth, ^jwith none to search or seek for them.

Zechariah 10:2

2 For ^kthe household gods ^lutter nonsense,
and the diviners see lies;
^mthey tell false dreams
and give empty consolation.
Therefore ⁿthe people wander like sheep;
they are afflicted for lack of a shepherd.

Zechariah 11:16

16 For behold, I am raising up in the land a shepherd ^owho does not care for those being destroyed, or seek the young or heal the maimed or nourish the healthy, but ^pdevours the flesh of the fat ones, tearing off even their hoofs.

The Shepherd Struck

7 “Awake, O sword, against ^qmy shepherd,
against the man who stands next to me,”

declares the Lord of hosts.
^r“Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered;
I will turn my hand against the little ones.
8 In the whole land, declares the Lord,
two thirds shall be cut off and perish,
^sand one third shall be left alive.
