21 then say to them, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, ^aI will take the people of Israel from the nations among which they have gone, and will gather them from all around, and ^bbring them to their own land. 22 And ^cI will make them one nation in the land, on ^dthe mountains of Israel. And ^eone king shall be king over them all, and they shall be no longer ^ftwo nations, and no longer divided into two kingdoms. 23 ^gThey shall not ^hdefile themselves anymore ⁱwith their idols and their detestable things, or with any of their transgressions. But ^jI will save them from all the backslidings ^{▼▼Many Hebrew manuscripts; other Hebrew manuscripts dwellings} in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them; and ^lthey shall be my people, and I will be their God.

24 “My servant ^mDavid ⁿshall be king over them, and they shall all have ^oone shepherd. ^pThey shall walk in my rules and be careful to obey my statutes. 25 ^qThey shall dwell in the land that I gave to my servant Jacob, where your fathers lived. They and their children and their children’s children shall dwell there ^rforever, and David my servant shall be their prince ^sforever. 26 ^tI will make a covenant of peace with them. It shall be ^uan everlasting covenant with them. And I will set them in their land ^{▼▼Hebrew lacks in their land} and ^wmultiply them, and will ^xset my sanctuary in their midst forevermore. 27 ^yMy dwelling place shall be with them, ^zand I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 28 Then ^aathe nations will know that ^abI am the Lord who sanctifies Israel, when ^acmy sanctuary is in their midst forevermore.”

Ezekiel 39:25-29

The Lord Will Restore Israel

25 “Therefore thus says the Lord God: Now ^adI will restore the fortunes of Jacob and have mercy on ^aethe whole house of Israel, and ^afI will be jealous for my holy name. 26 They shall ^agforget their shame and all the treachery they have practiced against me, when ^ahthey dwell securely in their land with ^ainone to make them afraid, 27 ^ajwhen I have brought them back from the peoples and gathered them from their enemies’ lands, ^akand through them have vindicated my holiness in the sight of many nations. 28 ^alThen they shall know that I am the Lord their God, because I sent them into exile among the nations and then assembled them into their own land. I will leave none of them remaining among the nations anymore. 29 ^amAnd I will not hide my face anymore from them, when ^anI pour out my Spirit upon the house of Israel, declares the Lord God.”

Amos 9:11-15

The Restoration of Israel

11 “In that day ^aoI will raise up
the booth of David that is fallen
and repair its breaches,
and raise up its ruins
and rebuild it as in the days of old,
12 ^apthat they may possess the remnant of Edom
and ^aqall the nations who are called by my name,” ^{▼▼Hebrew; Septuagint (compare Acts 15:17) that the remnant of mankind and all the nations who are called by my name may seek the Lord}
declares the Lord who does this.
13 “Behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord,
^as“when the plowman shall overtake the reaper
and the treader of grapes him who sows the seed;
^atthe mountains shall drip sweet wine,
and all the hills shall flow with it.
14 ^auI will restore the fortunes of my people Israel,
and ^avthey shall rebuild the ruined cities and inhabit them;
^awthey shall plant vineyards and drink their wine,
and they shall make gardens and eat their fruit.
15 ^axI will plant them on their land,
^ayand they shall never again be uprooted
out of the land ^azthat I have given them,”

says the Lord your God.

Obadiah 17-21

17 ^baBut in Mount Zion there shall be those who escape,
and it shall be holy,
^bband the house of Jacob shall possess their own possessions.
18 ^bcThe house of Jacob shall be a fire,
and the house of Joseph a flame,
and the house of Esau ^bdstubble;
they shall burn them and consume them,
^beand there shall be no survivor for the house of Esau,

for the Lord has spoken.

The Kingdom of the Lord

19 Those of ^bfthe Negeb ^bgshall possess ^bhMount Esau,
and those of the Shephelah shall possess ^bithe land of the Philistines;
they shall possess the land of Ephraim and the land of ^bjSamaria,
and Benjamin shall possess Gilead.
20 The exiles of this host of the people of Israel
shall possess the land of the Canaanites as far as ^bkZarephath,
and the exiles of Jerusalem who are in Sepharad
shall possess the cities of the Negeb.
21 ^blSaviors shall go up to Mount Zion
to rule ^bmMount Esau,
and ^bnthe kingdom shall be the Lord’s.

Zephaniah 3:20

20 ^boAt that time I will bring you in,
at the time when I gather you together;
for I will make you renowned and praised
among all the peoples of the earth,
^bpwhen I restore your fortunes
before your eyes,” says the Lord.
