Ezekiel 6:12-14

12 aHe who is far off shall die of pestilence, and he who is near shall fall by the sword, and he who is left and is preserved shall die of famine. bThus I will spend my fury upon them. 13And you shall know that I am the Lord, cwhen their slain lie among their idols around their altars, don every high hill, eon all the mountaintops, funder every green tree, and under gevery leafy oak, wherever hthey offered pleasing aroma to all their idols. 14And iI will stretch out my hand against them and jmake the land desolate and waste, kin all their dwelling places, from the wilderness to lRiblah.

Jerusalem Will Not Be Spared

12And the word of the Lord came to me: 13 rSon of man, when a land sins against me sby acting faithlessly, and I stretch out my hand against it and tbreak its supply

of bread and send famine upon it, and vcut off from it man and beast,
14 weven if these three men, xNoah, yDaniel, and zJob, were in it, aathey would deliver but their own lives by their righteousness, declares the Lord God.

15 abIf I cause wild beasts to pass through the land, and they ravage it, acand it be made desolate, so that no one may pass through because of the beasts, 16even if these three men were in it, adas I live, declares the Lord God, they would deliver neither sons nor daughters. They alone would be delivered, but aethe land would be desolate.

17Or afif I bring a sword upon that land and say, Let a sword pass through the land, agand I cut off from it man and beast, 18 ahthough these three men were in it, as I live, declares the Lord God, they would deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they alone would be delivered.

19Or aiif I send a pestilence into that land and pour out my wrath upon it with blood, to cut off from it man and beast, 20even if Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, as I live, declares the Lord God, they would deliver neither son nor daughter. They would deliver but their own lives by their righteousness.

21For thus says the Lord God: How much more ajwhen I send upon Jerusalem my four disastrous acts of judgment, aksword, alfamine, amwild beasts, and anpestilence, to cut off from it man and beast!

Ezekiel 33:27

27Say this to them, Thus says the Lord God: aoAs I live, surely those who are in apthe waste places shall fall by aqthe sword, and whoever is in the open field I will give to arthe beasts to be devoured, and those who are in asstrongholds and in caves shall die by atpestilence.
