Ezekiel 12:25-28

25For I am the Lord; I will speak mthe word that I will speak, and it will be performed. nIt will no longer be delayed, but in your days, oO rebellious house, I will speak the word and perform it, declares the Lord God.”

26And the word of the Lord came to me: 27Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, p‘The vision that he sees is qfor many days from now, and he prophesies of times far off.’ 28Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord God: rNone of my words will be delayed any longer, sbut the word that I speak will be performed, declares the Lord God.”

Hebrews 10:25-37

25 tnot neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and uall the more as you see vthe Day drawing near.

26For wif we go on sinning deliberately xafter receiving the knowledge of the truth, ythere no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 zbut a fearful expectation of judgment, and aaa fury of fire that will consume the adversaries. 28 abAnyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy acon the evidence of two or three witnesses. 29How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one adwho has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has profaned aethe blood of the covenant afby which he was sanctified, and has agoutraged the Spirit of grace? 30For we know him who said, ahVengeance is mine; I will repay.” And again, ai“The Lord will judge his people.” 31 ajIt is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

32But recall the former days when, after akyou were enlightened, you endured ala hard struggle with sufferings, 33sometimes being ampublicly exposed to reproach and affliction, and sometimes being partners with those so treated. 34For anyou had compassion on those in prison, and aoyou joyfully accepted the plundering of your property, since you knew that you yourselves had apa better possession and an abiding one. 35Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has aqa great reward. 36For aryou have need of endurance, so that aswhen you have done the will of God you may atreceive what is promised. 37For,

auYet a little while,
and avthe coming one will come and will not delay;

James 5:9

9Do not grumble against one another, brothers, awso that you may not be judged; behold, axthe Judge is standing ayat the door.

1 Peter 4:17-18

17For it is time for judgment azto begin at the household of God; and baif it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who bbdo not obey the gospel of God? 18And

bcIf the righteous is scarcely saved,
what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”
