Ezra 1:1-4

The Proclamation of Cyrus

1 aIn the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, bthat the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so cthat he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom and also put it in writing:

2Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and dhe has charged me to build him a house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah. 3Whoever is among you of all his people, may his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and rebuild the house of the Lord, the God of Israelehe is the God who is in Jerusalem. 4And let each survivor, in whatever place he sojourns, be assisted by the men of his place with silver and gold, with goods and with beasts, besides freewill offerings for the house of God that is in Jerusalem.”

Jeremiah 32:37-44

37 hBehold, I will gather them from all the countries ito which I drove them in jmy anger and my wrath and in great indignation. I will bring them back to this place, kand I will make them dwell in safety. 38 lAnd they shall be my people, and I will be their God. 39 mI will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, nfor their own good and the good of their children after them. 40 oI will make with them an everlasting covenant, that I will not turn away from doing good to them. pAnd I will put the fear of me in their hearts, that they may not turn from me. 41 qI will rejoice in doing them good, rand I will plant them in this land in faithfulness, with all my heart and all my soul.

42For thus says the Lord: sJust as I have brought all this great disaster upon this people, so I will bring upon them all the good that I promise them. 43 tFields shall be bought in this land uof which you are saying, ‘It is a desolation, without man or beast; vit is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.’ 44Fields shall be bought for money, and wdeeds shall be signed and xsealed and ywitnessed, zin the land of Benjamin, aain the places about Jerusalem, aband in the cities of Judah, acin the cities of the hill country, adin the cities of the Shephelah, and in the cities of the Negeb; for aeI will restore their fortunes, declares the Lord.”

Ezekiel 34:12-13

12As a shepherd seeks out his flock when he is among his sheep that have been scattered, so will I seek out my sheep, and I will rescue them from all places where they have been scattered on afa day of clouds and agthick darkness. 13And I will bring them out from the peoples ahand gather them from the countries, and will bring them into their own land. And I will feed them on aithe mountains of Israel, by the ravines, and in all the inhabited places of the country.

Ezekiel 36:24

24 ajI will take you akfrom the nations and gather you from all the countries and albring you into your own land.

Zechariah 8:7-8

7Thus says the Lord of hosts: Behold, amI will save my people anfrom the east country and from the west country, 8and I will bring them to dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. aoAnd they shall be my people, and I will be their God, apin faithfulness and in righteousness.”
