Ezra 8:22

22For I was ashamed to ask the king for a band of soldiers and horsemen to protect us against the enemy on our way, since we had told the king, b“The hand of our God is for good on call who seek him, and the power of his wrath is against all who forsake him.”

Daniel 2:28

28but hthere is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries, and he has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar iwhat will be in the latter days. Your dream and jthe visions of your head as you lay in bed are these:

Daniel 2:47

47The king answered and said to Daniel, “Truly, your kGod is God of gods and lLord of kings, and ma revealer of mysteries, for you have been able to reveal this mystery.”

Daniel 3:16-28

16 nShadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. 17If this be so, oour God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king.
Or If our God whom we serve is able to deliver us, he will deliver us from the burning fiery furnace and out of your hand, O king.
18But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.”

19Then Nebuchadnezzar was qfilled with fury, and the expression of his face rwas changed against sShadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. He ordered the furnace heated seven times more than it was usually heated. 20And he ordered some of the mighty men of his army tto bind uShadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace. 21Then these men were vbound in their cloaks, their tunics,
The meaning of the Aramaic words rendered  cloaks and  tunics is uncertain; also verse 27
their hats, and their other garments, and they were thrown into the burning fiery furnace.
22Because the king’s order was xurgent and the furnace overheated, the flame of the fire killed those men who took up yShadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. 23And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell zbound into the burning fiery furnace.

24Then King Nebuchadnezzar was aaastonished and rose up abin haste. He declared to his accounselors, “Did we not cast three men adbound into the fire?” They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.” 25He answered and said, “But I see four men unbound, aewalking in the midst of the fire, and they afare not hurt; and the appearance of the fourth is like aga son of the gods.”

26Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the door of the burning fiery furnace; he declared, ahShadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the aiMost High God, come out, and come here!” Then ajShadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out from the fire. 27And the aksatraps, the prefects, the governors, and althe king’s counselors gathered together and saw that amthe fire had not had any power over the bodies of those men. The hair of their heads was not singed, their ancloaks were not harmed, and no smell of fire had come upon them. 28Nebuchadnezzar answered and said, “Blessed be the God of aoShadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who aphas sent his angel and aqdelivered his servants, who artrusted in him, and set aside

the king’s command, and yielded up their bodies rather than atserve and worship any god except their own God.

Daniel 4:25

25 authat you shall be driven from among men, and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field. You shall be made avto eat grass like an ox, and you shall be wet with the dew of heaven, and awseven periods of time shall pass over you, till axyou know that the Most High rules the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will.

Daniel 5:23-30

23but you have lifted up yourself against aythe Lord of heaven. And azthe vessels of his house have been brought in before you, and you and your lords, your wives, and your concubines have drunk wine from them. baAnd you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which do not see or hear or know, bbbut the God in whose hand is your breath, and bcwhose are all your ways, bdyou have not honored.

24Then from his presence bethe hand was sent, and this writing was inscribed. 25And this is the writing that was inscribed: Mene, Mene, Tekel, and Parsin. 26This is the interpretation of the matter: Mene, God has numbered
 Mene sounds like the Aramaic for  numbered
the days of your kingdom and brought it to an end;
27Tekel, bgyou have been weighed
 Tekel sounds like the Aramaic for  weighed
in the balances and found wanting;
28Peres, your kingdom is divided and given to bithe Medes and bjPersians.”
 Peres (the singular of  Parsin) sounds like the Aramaic for  divided and for Persia

29Then blBelshazzar gave the command, and Daniel bmwas clothed with purple, a chain of gold was put around his neck, and a proclamation was made about him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.

30 bnThat very night boBelshazzar the bpChaldean king was killed.

22My God bqsent his angel brand shut the lionsmouths, and they have not harmed me, because I was found blameless bsbefore him; btand also before you, O king, I have done no harm.”
