5Then rose up the heads of the fathers’ houses of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests and the Levites, aeveryone whose spirit bGod had stirred to go up to rebuild the house of the Lord that is in Jerusalem.

Ezra Sends for Levites

15I gathered them to the river that runs to cAhava, and there we camped three days. As I reviewed the people and the priests, I found there dnone of the sons of Levi. 16Then I sent for Eliezer, Ariel, Shemaiah, Elnathan, Jarib, Elnathan, Nathan, Zechariah, and eMeshullam, leading men, and for Joiarib and Elnathan, who were men of insight, 17and sent them to Iddo, the leading man at the place Casiphia, telling them what to say to Iddo and his brothers and
Hebrew lacks  and
the temple servants at the place Casiphia, namely, to send us ministers for the house of our God.
18And gby the good hand of our God on us, they brought us a man of discretion, of the sons of hMahli the son of Levi, son of Israel, namely Sherebiah with his sons and kinsmen, 18; 19also iHashabiah, and with him Jeshaiah of jthe sons of Merari, with his kinsmen and their sons, 20; 20 kbesides 220 of the temple servants, whom David and his officials had set apart to attend the Levites. These were all lmentioned by name.

Isaiah 2:2-4

2 mIt shall come to pass in the latter days
that nthe mountain of the house of the Lord
shall be established as the highest of the mountains,
and shall be lifted up above the hills;
and oall the nations shall flow to it,
3and pmany peoples shall come, and say:
Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
to the house of the God of Jacob,
that he may teach us his ways
and that we may walk in his paths.”

Isaiah 11:11-13

Jeremiah 50:4-5
