Ezra 10:7-12

7And a proclamation was made throughout Judah and Jerusalem to all the returned exiles that they should assemble at Jerusalem, 8and that if anyone did not come within three days, by order of the officials and the elders all his property should be forfeited, and he himself banned from the congregation of the exiles.

9Then all the men of Judah and Benjamin assembled at Jerusalem within the three days. It was the ninth month, on the twentieth day of the month. And all the people sat in the open square before the house of God, trembling because of this matter and because of the aheavy rain. 10And Ezra the priest stood up and said to them, “You have broken faith and married foreign women, and so increased the guilt of Israel. 11Now then bmake confession to the Lord, the God of your fathers and do his will. cSeparate yourselves from the peoples of the land and from the foreign wives.” 12Then all the assembly answered with a loud voice, “It is so; we must do as you have said.

Nehemiah 13:9

9Then I gave orders, and they dcleansed the chambers, and I brought back there the vessels of the house of God, with the grain offering and the frankincense.

Nehemiah 13:19-22

19As soon as it ebegan to grow dark at the gates of Jerusalem before the Sabbath, I commanded that the doors should be shut and gave orders that they should not be opened until after the Sabbath. And I stationed some of my servants at the gates, that no load might be brought in on the Sabbath day. 20Then the merchants and sellers of all kinds of wares lodged outside Jerusalem once or twice. 21 fBut I warned them and said to them, “Why do you lodge outside the wall? If you do so again, I will lay hands on you.” From that time on they did not come on the Sabbath. 22Then I commanded the Levites gthat they should purify themselves and come and guard the gates, to keep the Sabbath day holy. hRemember this also in my favor, O my God, and spare me according to the greatness of your steadfast love.

Psalms 101:2-8

2I will iponder the way jthat is blameless.
Oh when will you kcome to me?
I will lwalk with mintegrity of heart
within my house;
3I will not set before my eyes
anything nthat is worthless.
I hate the work of those who ofall away;
it shall not cling to me.
4 pA perverse heart shall be far from me;
I will qknow nothing of evil.
5 Whoever slanders his neighbor rsecretly
I will sdestroy.
Whoever has a thaughty look and an uarrogant heart
I will not endure.
6 I will look with favor on the faithful in the land,
that they may dwell with me;
he who walks in vthe way that is blameless
shall minister to me.
7 No one who wpractices deceit
shall dwell in my house;
no one who utters lies
shall xcontinue before my eyes.
8 yMorning by morning I will destroy
all the wicked in the land,
zcutting off all aathe evildoers
from abthe city of the Lord.
