Rebuilding the Altar

1 aWhen the seventh month came, and the children of Israel were in the towns, the people gathered as one man to Jerusalem.

Ezra 3:8

Rebuilding the Temple

8Now in the second year after their coming to the house of God at Jerusalem, in the second month, bZerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and cJeshua the son of Jozadak made a beginning, together with the rest of their kinsmen, the priests and the Levites and all who had come to Jerusalem from the captivity. They dappointed the Levites, from twenty years old and upward, to esupervise the work of the house of the Lord.

Ezra 3:12

12But many of the priests and Levites and heads of fathers’ houses, fold men who had seen the first house, wept with a loud voice when they saw the foundation of this house being laid, though many shouted aloud for joy,

Jeremiah 16:15

15but g‘As the Lord lives who brought up the people of Israel hout of the north country and out of all the countries where he had driven them.’ For iI will bring them back to their own land that I gave to their fathers.

Jeremiah 23:8

Ezekiel 28:25-26

Israel Gathered in Security

25Thus says the Lord God: nWhen I gather the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and omanifest my holiness in them in the sight of the nations, pthen they shall dwell in their own land that I gave to my servant Jacob. 26 qAnd they shall dwell securely in it, and they shall build houses and plant vineyards. They shall dwell securely, rwhen I execute judgments upon all their neighbors swho have treated them with contempt. tThen they will know that I am the Lord their God.”

Ezekiel 36:24

24 uI will take you vfrom the nations and gather you from all the countries and wbring you into your own land.
