Ezra 3:11-13

11And they sang responsively, praising and giving thanks to the Lord,

aFor he is good,
for his steadfast love endures forever toward Israel.”
And all the people shouted with a great shout when they praised the Lord, because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid.
12But many of the priests and Levites and heads of fathers’ houses, bold men who had seen the first house, wept with a loud voice when they saw the foundation of this house being laid, though many shouted aloud for joy, 13so that the people could not distinguish the sound of the joyful shout from the sound of the people’s weeping, for the people shouted with a great shout, and the sound was heard far away.

Ezra 6:15-17

15and this house was finished on the third day of the cmonth of Adar, in the sixth year of the reign of Darius the king.

16And the people of Israel, the priests and the Levites, and the rest of the returned exiles, celebrated the ddedication of this house of God with joy. 17They offered at the dedication of this house of God 100 bulls, 200 rams, 400 lambs, and as a sin offering for all Israel e12 male goats, according to the number of the tribes of Israel.

9And they sang ia new song, saying,

from levery tribe and language and people and nation,
10and you have made them ma kingdom and priests to our God,
and they shall reign on the earth.”
11Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering nmyriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, 12saying with a loud voice,

oWorthy is the Lamb who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might
and honor and glory and blessing!”
13And I heard pevery creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying,

“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!”

Rejoicing in Heaven

1After this I heard qwhat seemed to be the loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, crying out,

Hallelujah!
rSalvation and glory and power belong to our God,
2for shis judgments are true and just;
for he has judged tthe great prostitute
who corrupted the earth with her immorality,
and uhas avenged on her the blood of his servants.”
Greek bondservants; also verse 5

3Once more they cried out,

4And xthe twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who was seated on the throne, saying, “Amen. Hallelujah!” 5And from the throne came a voice saying,

yPraise our God,
all you his servants,
zyou who fear him,
small and great.”
