Ezra 5:1-2

Rebuilding Begins Anew

1Now the prophets, aHaggai and bZechariah the son of Iddo, prophesied to the Jews who were in Judah and Jerusalem, in the name of the God of Israel who was over them. 2 cThen Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and dJeshua the son of Jozadak arose and began to rebuild the house of God that is in Jerusalem, and the prophets of God were ewith them, supporting them.

Ezra 10:2-4

2And Shecaniah the son of Jehiel, of the sons of Elam, addressed Ezra: f“We have broken faith with our God and have married foreign women from the peoples of the land, but even now there is hope for Israel in spite of this. 3Therefore glet us make a covenant with our God to put away all these wives and htheir children, according to the counsel of my lord
Or  of the Lord
and of jthose who tremble at the commandment of our God, and let it be done kaccording to the Law.
4Arise, for it is your task, and we are with you; lbe strong and do it.”

Isaiah 35:3-4

3 mStrengthen the weak hands,
and make firm the feeble knees.
4Say to those who have an anxious heart,
“Be strong; fear not!
nBehold, your God
will come with vengeance,
with the recompense of God.
He will come and save you.”
