Job 1:15-17

15and cthe Sabeans fell upon them and took them and struck down the servants
Hebrew  the young men; also verses 16, 17
with the edge of the sword, and I alone have escaped to tell you.”
16While he was yet speaking, there came another and said, e“The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants and consumed them, and I alone have escaped to tell you.” 17While he was yet speaking, there came another and said, f“The Chaldeans formed gthree groups and made a raid on the camels and took them and struck down the servants with the edge of the sword, and I alone have escaped to tell you.”

Proverbs 1:11-19

11If they say, “Come with us, hlet us lie in wait for blood;
ilet us ambush the innocent without reason;
12like Sheol let us jswallow them alive,
and whole, like kthose who go down to the pit;
13we shall find all precious goods,
we shall fill our houses with plunder;
14throw in your lot among us;
we will all have one purse”—
15my son, ldo not walk in the way with them;
mhold back your foot from their paths,
16for ntheir feet run to evil,
and they make haste to shed blood.
17 oFor in vain is a net spread
in the sight of any bird,
18but these men plie in wait for their own blood;
they qset an ambush for their own lives.
19 rSuch are the ways of everyone who is sgreedy for unjust gain;
tit takes away the life of its possessors.
