Ezra 9:6-7

6saying:

“O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift my face to you, my God, for our iniquities ahave risen higher than our heads, and our bguilt has cmounted up to the heavens.
7 dFrom the days of our fathers to this day we have been in great eguilt. And for our iniquities we, our kings, and our priests have been given into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, to plundering, fand to utter shame, as it is today.

Psalms 44:15

15All day long my disgrace is before me,
and gshame has covered my face

Isaiah 45:16

16 hAll of them are put to shame and confounded;
the makers of idols go in confusion together.

Jeremiah 2:26-27

26 “As a thief is shamed when caught,
so the house of Israel shall be shamed:
ithey, their kings, their officials,
their priests, and their prophets,
27who say to a tree, ‘You are my father,’
and to a stone, ‘You gave me birth.’
For they have turned their back to me,
and not their face.
But jin the time of their trouble they say,
Arise and save us!’

Jeremiah 3:25

25 kLet us lie down in our shame, and let our dishonor cover us. For lwe have sinned against the Lord our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even to this day, and we have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God.”

Ezekiel 16:63

63that you may remember and be confounded, and mnever open your mouth again because of your shame, when I atone for you for all that you have done, declares the Lord God.”

Ezekiel 36:31
