32Now, therefore, our God, dthe great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who keeps covenant and steadfast love, let not all the hardship seem little to you that has come upon us, upon our kings, our princes, our priests, our prophets, our fathers, and all your people, esince the time of the kings of Assyria until this day. 33 fYet you have been righteous in all that has come upon us, for you have dealt faithfully gand we have acted wickedly. 34Our kings, our princes, our priests, and our fathers have not kept your law or paid attention to your commandments and your warnings that you gave them.

Daniel 9:6-9

6 pWe have not listened to qyour servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to rour kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land. 7To you, sO Lord, belongs righteousness, but to us open shame, as at this day, to the men of Judah, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to all Israel, tthose who are near and uthose who are far away, in vall the lands to which you have driven them, because of wthe treachery that they have committed against you. 8To us, O Lord, belongs open shame, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because xwe have sinned against you. 9 yTo the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, for we have rebelled against him
