Galatians 4:7-10

7So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then aan heir through God.

Paul’s Concern for the Galatians

8Formerly, when you bdid not know God, you cwere enslaved to those that by nature dare not gods. 9But now that you have come to know God, or rather eto be known by God, fhow can you turn back again to gthe weak and worthless elementary principles of the world, whose slaves you want to be once more? 10 hYou observe days and months and seasons and years!

Galatians 5:4-8

4You are isevered from Christ, jyou who would be justified
Or counted righteous
by the law; lyou have fallen away from grace.
5For through the Spirit, by faith, we ourselves eagerly mwait for the hope of righteousness. 6For in Christ Jesus nneither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but oonly faith working through love.

7 pYou were running well. Who hindered you from obeying qthe truth? 8This persuasion is not from rhim who calls you.

Galatians 6:12-14

12 sIt is those who want to make a good showing in the flesh twho would force you to be circumcised, and only uin order that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ. 13For even those who are circumcised do not themselves keep the law, but they desire to have you circumcised that they may boast in your flesh. 14But far be it from me to boast vexcept in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which

Hebrews 7:16-19

16who has become a priest, not on the basis of a legal requirement concerning bodily descent, but by the power of an indestructible life. 17For it is witnessed of him,

yYou are a priest forever,
after the order of Melchizedek.”
18For on the one hand, a former commandment is set aside zbecause of its weakness and uselessness 19(for aathe law made nothing perfect); but on the other hand, aba better hope is introduced, through which acwe draw near to God.

According to this arrangement, gifts and sacrifices are offered akthat cannot perfect the conscience of the worshiper,
10but deal only with alfood and drink and amvarious washings, regulations for the body imposed until the time of reformation.
