Warning Against Worldliness

1 What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this, that your passions ^{▼▼Greek pleasures; also verse 3} are ^eat war within you? ^{▼▼Greek in your members} 2 You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask. 3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask ^gwrongly, to spend it on your passions.

1 Peter 4:2-3

2 ^hso as to live for ⁱthe rest of the time in the flesh ^jno longer for human passions but ^kfor the will of God. 3 For the time that is past ^lsuffices ^mfor doing what the Gentiles want to do, living in sensuality, passions, drunkenness, orgies, drinking parties, and lawless idolatry.

2 Peter 2:18-20

18 For, ⁿspeaking loud boasts of folly, they entice by sensual passions of the flesh those who are barely ^oescaping from those who live in error. 19 They promise them ^pfreedom, ^qbut they themselves are slaves ^{▼▼Greek bondservants} of corruption. Do Not Love the World
