The Creation of the World

1In the abeginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

Genesis 1:26

26Then God said, b“Let us make man
The Hebrew word for  man (adam) is the generic term for mankind and becomes the proper name Adam
in our image, dafter our likeness. And elet them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

Psalms 33:6

6 By fthe word of the Lord the heavens were made,
and by gthe breath of his mouth all htheir host.

Psalms 102:25

25 iOf old you laid the foundation of the earth,
and jthe heavens are the work of your hands.

Isaiah 45:12

12 kI made the earth
and created man on it;
it was my hands lthat stretched out the heavens,
and mI commanded all their host.

Isaiah 45:18

18 nFor thus says the Lord,
who created the heavens

who formed the earth and made it

Jesus Is Equal with God

18This was why the Jews rwere seeking all the more to kill him, sbecause not only was he tbreaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God uhis own Father, vmaking himself equal with God.

The Authority of the Son

19So Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, wthe Son xcan do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father
