Genesis 1:1-6

The Creation of the World

1In the abeginning, God created the heavens and the earth. 2The earth was bwithout form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

3And God said, c“Let there be light,” and there was light. 4And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. 5God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.

6And God said, d“Let there be an expanse
Or  a canopy; also verses 7, 8, 14, 15, 17, 20
in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.”

Psalms 107:25

25For he fcommanded and graised the stormy wind,
which lifted up the waves of the sea.

Psalms 146:5-6

5 hBlessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,
whose ihope is in the Lord his God,
6 jwho made heaven and earth,
the sea, and all that is in them,
kwho keeps faith forever;

Praise the Name of the Lord

1 lPraise the Lord!
Praise the Lord mfrom the heavens;
praise him nin the heights!
2Praise him, all his angels;
praise him, all his ohosts!
3 Praise him, sun and moon,
praise him, all you shining stars!
4Praise him, you phighest heavens,
and you qwaters above the heavens!

Isaiah 40:26

26Lift up your eyes on high and see:
who created these?
tHe who brings out their host by number,
calling them all by name;
by the greatness of his might
and because he is strong in power,
not one is missing.

Jeremiah 10:12-16

12 uIt is he who vmade the earth by his power,
wwho established the world by his wisdom,
and xby his understanding stretched out the heavens.
13 yWhen he utters his voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens,
zand he makes the mist rise from the ends of the earth.
aaHe makes lightning abfor the rain,
acand he brings forth the wind adfrom his storehouses.
14 aeEvery man is stupid and without knowledge;
afevery goldsmith is put to shame by his idols,
for his images are false,
agand there is no breath in them.
15They are worthless, a work of delusion;
at the time of their punishment they shall perish.
16Not like these is he who is ahthe portion of Jacob,
for he is the one who formed all things,
aiand Israel is the tribe of his inheritance;
ajthe Lord of hosts is his name.

Jeremiah 32:17

17Ah, Lord God! It is akyou who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by alyour outstretched arm! amNothing is too hard for you.
