Genesis 1:11-12

11 And God said, ^a“Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants ^{▼▼Or small plants; also verses 12, 29} yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth.” And it was so. 12 The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

Genesis 1:29

29 And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. ^cYou shall have them for food.

Psalms 104:14-15

14 You cause ^dthe grass to grow for the livestock
and ^eplants for man to cultivate,
that he may bring forth ^ffood from the earth
15 and ^gwine to gladden the heart of man,
^hoil to make his face shine
and bread to ⁱstrengthen man’s heart.

Isaiah 28:25-29

25 ^jWhen he has leveled its surface,
does he not scatter dill, sow cumin,
and put in wheat in rows
and barley in its proper place,
and emmer ^{▼▼A type of wheat} as the border?
26 ^lFor he is rightly instructed;
his God teaches him.
27 Dill is not threshed with a threshing sledge,
nor is a cart wheel rolled over cumin,
but dill is beaten out with a stick,
and cumin with a rod.
28 Does one crush grain for bread?
No, he does not thresh it forever; ^{▼▼Or Grain is crushed for bread; he will surely thresh it, but not forever}
when he drives his cart wheel over it
with his horses, he does not crush it.
29 This also comes from the Lord of hosts;
he is ⁿwonderful in counsel
and excellent in wisdom.
