Genesis 1:14-18

14 And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for ^asigns and for ^bseasons, ^{▼▼Or appointed times} and for days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth.” And it was so. 16 And God ^dmade the two great lights—the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night—and the stars. 17 And God set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18 to ^erule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.

Deuteronomy 4:19

19 And beware lest you raise your eyes to heaven, and when you see ^fthe sun and the moon and the stars, ^gall the host of heaven, you be drawn away and bow down to them and serve them, things that the Lord your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven.

and night to night reveals knowledge.

and their words to the end of the world.
In them he has set a tent for ⁿthe sun,

and there is nothing hidden from its heat.

Psalms 72:5
