Genesis 1:14-19

14And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for asigns and for bseasons,
Or appointed times
and for days and years,
15and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth.” And it was so. 16And God dmade the two great lights—the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night—and the stars. 17And God set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18to erule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19And there was evening and there was morning, the fourth day.

Deuteronomy 4:19

19And beware lest you raise your eyes to heaven, and when you see fthe sun and the moon and the stars, gall the host of heaven, you be drawn away and bow down to them and serve them, things that the Lord your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven.

Psalms 74:16-17

16Yours is the day, yours also the night;
you have established hthe heavenly lights and the sun.
17You have ifixed all the boundaries of the earth;
you have made jsummer and winter.

Psalms 104:19

19 He made the moon to mark the kseasons;
Or  the appointed times (compare Genesis 1:14)

the sun knows its time for setting.
