6 And God said, ^a“Let there be an expanse ^{▼▼Or a canopy; also verses 7, 8, 14, 15, 17, 20} in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.” 7 And God made ^{▼▼Or fashioned; also verse 16} the expanse and ^dseparated the waters that were under the expanse from the waters that were ^eabove the expanse.
