Genesis 1:6-8

6And God said, a“Let there be an expanse
Or  a canopy; also verses 7, 8, 14, 15, 17, 20
in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.”
7And God made
Or fashioned; also verse 16
the expanse and dseparated the waters that were under the expanse from the waters that were eabove the expanse. And it was so.
8And God called the expanse Heaven.
Or Sky; also verses 9, 14, 15, 17, 20, 26, 28, 30; 2:1
And there was evening and there was morning, the second day.

Ezekiel 1:22-26

22Over the heads of the living creatures there was gthe likeness of an expanse, shining like awe-inspiring hcrystal, spread out above their heads. 23And under the expanse their wings were istretched out straight, one toward another. jAnd each creature had two wings covering its body. 24And when they went, I heard the sound of their wings klike the sound of many waters, like lthe sound of the mAlmighty, a sound of tumult nlike the sound of an army. When they stood still, they let down their wings. 25And there came a voice from above othe expanse over their heads. When they stood still, they let down their wings.

26And above the expanse over their heads there was pthe likeness of a throne, qin appearance rlike sapphire;
Or lapis lazuli
and seated above the likeness of a throne was ta likeness with a human appearance.

Ezekiel 10:1

The Glory of the Lord Leaves the Temple

1Then I looked, and behold, uon the expanse that was over the heads of the cherubim there appeared above them something vlike a sapphire,

in appearance like a throne.

Daniel 12:3

3 xAnd those who are wise yshall shine like the brightness of the sky above;
