Genesis 11:4-8

4Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower awith its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth.” 5And bthe Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of man had built. 6And the Lord said, “Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them. 7Come, clet us go down and there confuse their language, so that they may not understand one another’s speech.” 8So dthe Lord dispersed them from there over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city.

Revelation of John 21:14-27

14And the wall of the city had twelve efoundations, and fon them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

15And the one who spoke with me ghad a measuring rod of gold to measure the city and its gates and walls. 16The city lies foursquare, its length the same as its width. And he measured the city with his rod, 12,000 stadia.
About 1,380 miles; a stadion was about 607 feet or 185 meters
Its length and width and height are equal.
17He also measured its wall, 144 cubits
A  cubit was about 18 inches or 45 centimeters
by jhuman measurement, which is also kan angel’s measurement.
18The wall was built of ljasper, while the city was pure gold, like mclear glass. 19 nThe foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with every kind of jewel. The first was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, 20the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst. 21And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, each of the gates made of a single pearl, and othe street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.

22And pI saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb. 23And the city qhas no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for rthe glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb. 24By its light swill the nations walk, and the kings of the earth twill bring their glory into it, 25and uits gates will never be shut by dayand vthere will be no night there. 26They will bring into it the glory and the honor of the nations. 27But wnothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s xbook of life.
