Genesis 12:18-19

18 So Pharaoh called Abram and said, “What is this you have done to me? Why did you not tell me that she was your wife? 19 Why did you say, ‘She is my sister,’ so that I took her for my wife? Now then, here is your wife; take her, and go.”

Genesis 20:3

3 ^aBut God came to Abimelech ^bin a dream by night and said to him, “Behold, you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken, for she is a man’s wife.”

Jeremiah 3:1

Romans 7:2-3

2 For ^ga married woman is bound by law to her husband while he lives, but if her husband dies she is released from the law of marriage. ^{▼▼Greek law concerning the husband} 3 Accordingly, ⁱshe will be called an adulteress if she lives with another man while her husband is alive. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law, and if she marries another man she is not an adulteress.

1 Corinthians 7:4

4 For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.

1 Corinthians 7:11

11 (but if she does, ^jshe should remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband), and ^kthe husband should not divorce his wife.

1 Corinthians 7:39
