Punishments for Sexual Immorality
10“If a aman commits adultery with the wife of ▼▼Hebrew repeats if a man commits adultery with the wife of
his neighbor, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death. 2 Samuel 11:3-4
3And David sent and inquired about the woman. And one said, “Is not this cBathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of dUriah the Hittite?” 4So David sent messengers and took her, and she came to him, and he lay with her. ( eNow she had been purifying herself from her uncleanness.) Then she returned to her house.2 Samuel 12:9-10
9 fWhy have you despised the word of the Lord, gto do what is evil in his sight? hYou have struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and ihave taken his wife to be your wife and have killed him with the sword of the Ammonites. 10Now therefore the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised me and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.’2 Samuel 16:21
