Genesis 12:2-3
2 aAnd I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. 3 bI will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and cin you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” ▼▼Or by you all the families of the earth shall bless themselves
Genesis 15:2-6
2But Abram said, “O Lord God, what will you give me, for I continue ▼▼Or I shall die
childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?” 3And Abram said, “Behold, you have given me no offspring, and fa member of my household will be my heir.” 4And behold, the word of the Lord came to him: “This man shall not be your heir; gyour very own son ▼▼Hebrew what will come out of your own loins
shall be your heir.” 5And he brought him outside and said, “Look toward heaven, and inumber the stars, if you are able to number them.” Then he said to him, j“So shall your offspring be.” 6And khe believed the Lord, and lhe counted it to him as righteousness. Genesis 17:16-17
16I will bless her, and moreover, I will mgive ▼▼Hebrew have given
you a son by her. I will bless her, and oshe shall become nations; kings of peoples shall come from her.” 17Then Abraham pfell on his face qand laughed and said to himself, “Shall a child be born to a man who is a hundred years old? Shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?” Genesis 21:2-7
2And Sarah rconceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age sat the time of which God had spoken to him. 3Abraham called the name of his son who was born to him, whom Sarah bore him, tIsaac. ▼▼ Isaac means he laughs
4And Abraham vcircumcised his son Isaac when he was eight days old, was God had commanded him. 5 xAbraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him. 6And Sarah said, y“God has made laughter for me; everyone who hears will laugh over me.” 7And she said, “Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? zYet I have borne him a son in his old age.” Exodus 1:7
7 aaBut the people of Israel were fruitful and increased greatly; they multiplied and grew exceedingly strong, so that the land was filled with them.Habakkuk 2:2-3
The Righteous Shall Live by His Faith
2And the Lord answered me:ab“Write the vision;
make it plain on tablets,
so he may run who reads it.
3For still acthe vision awaits its appointed time;
it hastens to the end—it will not lie.
If it seems slow, adwait for it;
aeit will surely come; it will not delay.
Hebrews 6:12
12so that you may not be sluggish, but afimitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
