Genesis 36:6-8

6Then Esau took his wives, his sons, his daughters, and all the members of his household, his livestock, all his beasts, and all his property that he had acquired in the land of Canaan. He went into a land away from his brother Jacob. 7 eFor their possessions were too great for them to dwell together. fThe land of their sojournings could not support them because of their livestock. 8So Esau settled in gthe hill country of Seir. ( hEsau is Edom.)

Deuteronomy 2:5

5Do not contend with them, for I will not give you any of their land, no, not so much as for the sole of the foot to tread on, because iI have given Mount Seir to Esau as a possession.

Deuteronomy 2:22

22as he did for the people of Esau, who live in Seir, when he destroyed jthe Horites before them and they dispossessed them and settled in their place even to this day.

Joshua 24:4
