God’s Covenant with Abram

1After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: aFear not, Abram, I am byour shield; your reward shall be very great.”

13Then the Lord said to Abram, “Know for certain cthat your offspring will be sojourners in a land that is not theirs and will be servants there, and dthey will be afflicted for efour hundred years.

Genesis 26:2-3

2And the Lord appeared to him and said, “Do not go down to Egypt; dwell fin the land of which I shall tell you. 3 gSojourn in this land, and hI will be with you and will bless you, for ito you and to your offspring I will give all these lands, and I will establish jthe oath that I swore to Abraham your father.
