God’s Covenant with Abram

1After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: aFear not, Abram, I am byour shield; your reward shall be very great.”

29Happy are you, O Israel! iWho is like you,

and the sword of your triumph!
Your enemies shall come fawning to you,
and you shall tread upon their backs.”

Psalms 47:9

9 lThe princes of the peoples gather
as the people of the God of Abraham.
For mthe shields of the earth belong to God;
he is highly exalted!
