And they said, nAll that the Lord has spoken we will do, and we will be obedient.” 8 oAnd Moses took the blood and threw it on the people and said, “Behold the blood of the covenant that the Lord has made with you in accordance with all these words.”

The New Covenant

31 bhBehold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make bia new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, 32not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when bjI took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, bkthough I was their husband, declares the Lord. 33 blFor this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: bmI will put my law within them, and I will write it bnon their hearts. boAnd I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ bpfor they shall all know me, bqfrom the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For brI will forgive their iniquity, and bsI will remember their sin no more.”
