Sarai and Hagar
1 cNow Sarai, Abram’s wife, had borne him no children. She had a female Egyptian servant whose name was dHagar. 2And Sarai said to Abram, “Behold now, the Lord has prevented me from bearing children. Go in to my servant; it may be that I shall obtain children ▼▼Hebrew be built up, which sounds like the Hebrew for children
by her.” And Abram listened to the voice of Sarai. Genesis 25:21

As often as she went up to the house of the Lord, she used to provoke her. Therefore Hannah wept and would not eat. 8And Elkanah, her husband, said to her, “Hannah, why do you weep? And why do you not eat? And why is your heart sad? lAm I not more to you than ten sons?”
