Genesis 15:5-6

5And he brought him outside and said, “Look toward heaven, and anumber the stars, if you are able to number them.” Then he said to him, bSo shall your offspring be.” 6And che believed the Lord, and dhe counted it to him as righteousness.

Sarai and Hagar

1 gNow Sarai, Abram’s wife, had borne him no children. She had a female Egyptian servant whose name was hHagar. 2And Sarai said to Abram, “Behold now, the Lord has prevented me from bearing children. Go in to my servant; it may be that I shall obtain children
Hebrew be built up, which sounds like the Hebrew for  children
by her.” And Abram listened to the voice of Sarai.
3So, after Abram jhad lived ten years in the land of Canaan, Sarai, Abram’s wife, took Hagar the Egyptian, her servant, and gave her to Abram her husband as a wife.

Genesis 17:1

Abraham and the Covenant of Circumcision

1When Abram was ninety-nine years old the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty;
Hebrew El Shaddai
walk before me, and be lblameless,

Genesis 17:10

10This is my covenant, which you shall keep, between me and you and your offspring after you: Every male among you shall be circumcised.

Genesis 17:23-27

23Then Abraham took Ishmael his son and all those born in his house or bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham’s house, and he circumcised the flesh of their foreskins that very day, as God had said to him. 24Abraham was ninety-nine years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. 25And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. 26That very day Abraham and his son Ishmael were circumcised. 27And all the men of his house, those born in the house and those bought with money from a foreigner, were circumcised with him.

1 Corinthians 7:18-19

18Was anyone at the time of his call already circumcised? Let him not seek to remove the marks of circumcision. Was anyone at the time of his call uncircumcised? mLet him not seek circumcision. 19 nFor neither circumcision counts for anything nor uncircumcision, but okeeping the commandments of God.

Galatians 5:6

6For in Christ Jesus pneither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but qonly faith working through love.

Galatians 6:15

15For rneither circumcision counts for anything, nor uncircumcision, but sa new creation.
