Genesis 16:10-11

10The angel of the Lord also said to her, a“I will surely multiply your offspring so that they cannot be numbered for multitude.” 11And the angel of the Lord said to her,

Behold, you are pregnant
and shall bear a son.
You shall call his name Ishmael,
 Ishmael means God hears

cbecause the Lord has listened to your affliction.

Genesis 25:13

Genesis 37:25

25Then they sat down to eat. And looking up they saw a gcaravan of hIshmaelites coming from Gilead, with their camels bearing igum, balm, and myrrh, on their way to carry it down to Egypt.

Genesis 37:28

28Then jMidianite traders passed by. And they drew Joseph up and lifted him out of the pit, and ksold him to the Ishmaelites for twenty shekels
A  shekel was about 2/5 ounce or 11 grams
of silver. They took Joseph to Egypt.

1 Samuel 25:11
