Genesis 17:17-19

17Then Abraham afell on his face band laughed and said to himself, “Shall a child be born to a man who is a hundred years old? Shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?” 18And Abraham said to God, “Oh that Ishmael might live before you!” 19God said, “No, but cSarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name dIsaac.
 Isaac means he laughs
I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his offspring after him.

Genesis 18:11-14

11Now fAbraham and Sarah were old, advanced in years. The way of women had ceased to be with Sarah. 12 gSo Sarah laughed to herself, saying, hAfter I am worn out, and imy lord is old, shall I have pleasure?” 13The Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Shall I indeed bear a child, now that I am old?’ 14 jIs anything too hard
Or wonderful
for the Lord? lAt the appointed time I will return to you, about this time next year, and Sarah shall have a son.”

Genesis 21:1-2

The Birth of Isaac

1The Lord mvisited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did to Sarah nas he had promised. 2And Sarah oconceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age pat the time of which God had spoken to him.

Luke 1:36

36And behold, your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is the sixth month with her qwho was called barren.

1 Peter 3:5-6

5For this is how the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves, by submitting to their own husbands, 6as Sarah obeyed Abraham, rcalling him lord. And you are her children, if you do good and sdo not fear anything that is frightening.
